Leslie Berg, representing Canine Companions, was our guest speaker.

Canine Companions is leading the service dog industry so their clients and their dogs can live with greater independence. They provide service dogs to adults, children and veterans with disabilities and facility dogs to professionals working in healthcare, criminal justice and educational settings. Since their founding in 1975, their dogs and all follow-up services are provided at no cost to their clients.   Independence shouldn’t be limited to those who look or live a certain way. Disability reaches all races, classes and backgrounds, and Canine Companions will too. Clients go to Canine Companions because of their reputation, the quality of their dogs, the experience of their training staff and the desire to lead life with greater independence. They are committed to providing services to all qualified clients.

Food Pantries were selected to receive Shop Rite gift cards to help stock the shelves of their pantries while serving their communities. In total 16 food pantries were awarded $500 each totaling $8000.

PLEASE KEEP US ON YOUR SHOPPING LIST, WE ARE COLLECTING: BACK TO SCHOOL SUPPLIES

In addition, if you received a gift that you would like to pass along, please contact us. We are looking for new items we can use for our Fundraising events.

We get inquiries for teens looking to score service hours to satisfy school requirements. We have been recommending the students organize a collection of food (cereal, granola bars, fruit cups) to be used for our Food Insecurity initiatives.
Students can create flyers, host the collection and deliver to the recipient for their service credit.
Please contact us for a list of items needed.
